Week 7, part 2 of 6

Game by game: every final, the line it beat, and who scored

Fourteen games were played with four teams on a bye. Each card is one game: the final, the line it was played under, the score the line implied against the score that happened, the best fantasy lines on both sides graded against the Sleeper projection, and whose value moved. Every favourite that won also covered, so the market's misses were the four outright upsets and the two favourites that won without covering, Minnesota and Detroit.

A few reports sit behind the cards: Caleb Williams' second straight 300-yard game, J.J. McCarthy winning his first Giants start, Devin Singletary's overtime winner, Kendal Daniels' game-sealing interception a week after a hospital trip and Javonte Williams joining Emmitt Smith, Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Dorsett.

Every game of week 7

Four underdogs won outright, six of fourteen covered, and nine of fourteen games went over the total.

PPR points from the week's box scores. Projected is the Sleeper projection published for week 7, before any FF Beacon adjustment. Value moves are Dynasty PPR SF on FF Beacon and Redraft 1QB PPR on FF Beacon, from the last value on or before 2026-10-20 to the last on or before 2026-10-27.

Week 7, part 3 of 6

How the projections did: low at running back and tight end

The Sleeper projection ran a little low in week 7: 129 of 239 graded players beat it, 54 percent, and the average miss was 4.6 PPR points. The skill positions split cleanly. Running backs and tight ends beat it 63 and 64 percent of the time and outscored it by 1.4 and 1.3 points on average, while only 44 percent of receivers and 46 percent of quarterbacks did.

The season lists are the part to use. Kirk Cousins has beaten his projection in six of seven games by an average of 4.2 points, and Kenneth Walker in five of six by 5.8, though Seattle held him to 9.7 this week. On the other side A.J. Brown has fallen short in all three graded games by 8.9 a game, and Saquon Barkley has beaten his projection once in four games, missing by 6.8 on average.

How the Sleeper projection did in week 7

54 percent of graded players beat it, and it ran low at running back and tight end, where 63 and 64 percent beat it.

  • QB46% beat it, 13 of 28; average miss 5 points; lean +0.2
  • RB63% beat it, 42 of 67; average miss 4.7 points; lean +1.4
  • WR44% beat it, 39 of 89; average miss 4.7 points; lean +0.2
  • TE64% beat it, 35 of 55; average miss 3.9 points; lean +1.3
  • All54% beat it, 129 of 239; average miss 4.6 points; lean +0.8, all four positions

The line in each bar is 50 percent. Lean is actual minus projected on average: above zero means the projection ran low.

Season: beat it most reliably

  1. Tyler HuntleyQB BAL: beat it in 3 of 3 games, +4.8 a game against 13 projected
  2. Zonovan KnightRB ARI: beat it in 2 of 2 games, +4.4 a game against 6.1 projected

Season: furthest below it

  1. A.J. BrownWR NE: beat it in 0 of 3 games, -8.9 a game against 15.2 projected
  2. Jayden ReedWR GB: beat it in 0 of 2 games, -8.6 a game against 11.8 projected
  3. De'Von AchaneRB MIA: beat it in 0 of 3 games, -8.4 a game against 16.6 projected
  4. Tyson BagentQB CHI: beat it in 0 of 2 games, -7.9 a game against 14.4 projected
  5. Saquon BarkleyRB PHI: beat it in 1 of 4 games, -6.8 a game against 15.8 projected

Computed . Graded against the Sleeper projection published for each week, in PPR, before any FF Beacon adjustment. A graded game is one where a projection above zero was published and the player took the field. Mean error is actual minus projected: above zero means the projection ran low. Season lists need 2 graded games; the reliable list counts players projected for 6 or more a game and the laggard list 8 or more.

Return planner: who is back for the next month

Few players on this week's list carry a stated return inside weeks 8 to 11; Lamar Jackson and Breece Hall are the ones to watch on Wednesday.

Nobody in this period's injury reports is expected back between week 8 and week 11.

Week 7, part 6 of 6

What to do this week: claims, starts, holds, a sell and a buy

Every call is tied to a report above and to a number on the site; the cards below link each one to the tool that runs it. Bid ranges are the FAAB calculator's default 12-team league, as a percent of remaining budget.

  • Claim Omar Cooper in every redraft league: 5 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown, redraft value up 1,124 and dynasty up 484. Run the bid through the FAAB calculator; it suggests 6 to 11 percent.
  • Claim DeMario Douglas: his redraft value rose 2,237, the biggest jump on the wire, for 6 to 11 percent.
  • Claim Caleb Douglas as a bench add for 3 to 6 percent; both of Malik Willis' touchdown passes went to him.
  • Claim Chig Okonkwo for 1 to 3 percent now that Terry McLaurin is out for the season, and Michael Mayer for tight end depth: redraft up 736, 6 to 11 percent.
  • Start Colston Loveland every week with Cole Kmet on reserve; compare him with your tight end in Who Should I Start.
  • Hold Lamar Jackson everywhere and Tyler Huntley only until Jackson practices in full.
  • Sell Matthew Golden in dynasty if a buyer pays for the 866-point jump: 39 yards on 12 targets is not a breakout line. Check the offer in the trade calculator.
  • Buy Brock Bowers in dynasty after a 416-point dip on one 13.3-point game; he is still ninth overall at 8,068.

This week's calls, each with the tool that runs it

Five claims, one start and two holds; the dynasty sell and buy are in the list above.

Computed . Risers over the last seven days on FF Beacon, Redraft 1QB PPR, ranked outside the top 108 (a 12-team, 9-starter league's weekly starters), excluding players on the injury timeline. The bid range is the FF Beacon FAAB calculator at its default league shape (12 teams, 9 starters, medium need, 100 budget) as a percent of remaining budget; it is not a league-specific figure and no waiver add-rate data is used. Dynasty columns are Dynasty PPR SF on FF Beacon.

Biggest Dynasty PPR SF value moves of the week

Matthew Golden rose 866, Caleb Williams 841 and Colston Loveland 812; Jaxson Dart fell 506, the biggest drop.

The biggest rise is Matthew Golden at +866.

Week 7, questions people ask

Questions people ask

Is Lamar Jackson playing in week 8?

He is expected to. He has a high ankle sprain and missed a third straight game in week 7, when Tyler Huntley started a 35 to 13 loss to Cincinnati. Reports from October 25 to 27 say he is likely to play against Buffalo, and the model projects him for 19.9 points there. Watch Wednesday's practice report.

Is Terry McLaurin out for the season?

Yes. Dan Quinn confirmed on October 20 that he tore his patellar tendon and will miss the rest of the season. His Dynasty PPR SF value fell 302 to 1,491 and his Redraft 1QB PPR value fell 155 to 3,045. Chig Okonkwo, up 1,035 in redraft, is the cheap claim.

Who is the Giants starting quarterback?

J.J. McCarthy. He replaced Jameis Winston for the trip to Houston and won his first start 27 to 21 in overtime, completing 20 of 28 for 252 yards. His redraft value rose 413 and Winston's fell 713.

Will the Raiders start Fernando Mendoza?

Not this week. Klint Kubiak said on October 26 that Kirk Cousins is the starter and there is no controversy, after earlier saying the team was weighing a change. Cousins scored 20.4 PPR points against the Rams and projects for 16.8 at the Jets.
