PPR points from the week's box scores. Projected is the Sleeper projection published for week 5, before any FF Beacon adjustment. Value moves are Dynasty PPR SF on FF Beacon and Redraft 1QB PPR on FF Beacon, from the last value on or before 2026-10-06 to the last on or before 2026-10-13.

Week 5, part 3 of 6

How the projections did: 53 percent, and low at receiver and tight end

The Sleeper projection was close to a coin flip again in week 5: 139 of 262 graded players beat it, 53 percent, and the average miss was 4.8 PPR points. It ran low at receiver and tight end, where 59 percent of graded players beat it, and high at running back, where only 41 percent did. Quarterbacks split exactly 15 and 15, with the widest average miss of any position at 6.5 points.

The season lists are the part to use. Brock Bowers has beaten his projection in all three graded games by an average of 9.1 points, and Kyren Williams, Derrick Henry, Kirk Cousins and Denzel Boston have each beaten it four times in five. On the other side, Tyson Bagent is 0 for 2 and Kyler Murray has beaten his projection once in four games and falls 7.1 points short of it on average.

How the Sleeper projection did in week 5

53 percent of graded players beat it, 59 percent at receiver and tight end, and only 41 percent at running back.

  • QB50% beat it, 15 of 30; average miss 6.5 points; lean +1.9
  • RB41% beat it, 29 of 71; average miss 4.6 points; lean -0.2
  • WR59% beat it, 60 of 102; average miss 4.7 points; lean +1
  • TE59% beat it, 35 of 59; average miss 4.2 points; lean +1.1
  • All53% beat it, 139 of 262; average miss 4.8 points; lean +0.8, all four positions

The line in each bar is 50 percent. Lean is actual minus projected on average: above zero means the projection ran low.

Season: beat it most reliably

  1. Brock BowersTE LV: beat it in 3 of 3 games, +9.1 a game against 14.7 projected

  5. Denzel BostonWR CLE: beat it in 4 of 5 games, +4.5 a game against 9.3 projected

Season: furthest below it

  1. Jayden ReedWR GB: beat it in 0 of 2 games, -8.6 a game against 11.8 projected
  2. De'Von AchaneRB MIA: beat it in 0 of 3 games, -8.4 a game against 16.6 projected
  3. Tyson BagentQB CHI: beat it in 0 of 2 games, -7.9 a game against 14.4 projected
  4. Jauan JenningsWR MIN: beat it in 0 of 2 games, -7.4 a game against 8.9 projected
  5. Kyler MurrayQB MIN: beat it in 1 of 4 games, -7.1 a game against 17.5 projected

Computed . Graded against the Sleeper projection published for each week, in PPR, before any FF Beacon adjustment. A graded game is one where a projection above zero was published and the player took the field. Mean error is actual minus projected: above zero means the projection ran low. Season lists need 2 graded games; the reliable list counts players projected for 6 or more a game and the laggard list 8 or more.

Week 5, part 6 of 6

What to do this week: claims, starts, a buy and a pass

Every call is tied to a report above and to a number on the site; the cards below link each one to the tool that runs it.

  • Claim Woody Marks everywhere: 12.5 PPR points on 15 carries and four catches the day Montgomery went down, and DeMeco Ryans says he will carry the load. Run the bid through the FAAB calculator.
  • Start Rhamondre Stevenson while Henderson's ankle is unknown: 17.5 PPR points and a redraft value up 467 to 3,652. Compare him with your flex in Who Should I Start.
  • Start Jaylen Warren every week: 36.8 PPR points on 188 yards from scrimmage, and a redraft value up 704 to 4,778.
  • Claim Keon Coleman in deeper leagues while DJ Moore's shoulder lingers: redraft value up 634 to 2,613, and the calculator's range is 7 to 11 percent of a budget.
  • Claim Tyler Higbee only as a tight end stream: 83 yards on five catches, a redraft rise of 645, and a 1 to 3 percent bid.
  • Buy Caleb Williams in dynasty superflex: his value fell 488 to 7,221 in the week Ben Johnson called his return close. Check the offer in the trade calculator.
  • Hold Lamar Jackson and Michael Penix everywhere until the midweek practice reports.
  • Pass on Stribling, whatever the redraft riser list says: he is out at least 10 weeks.

This week's calls, each with the tool that runs it

Two claims, three starts and two quarterback holds until the midweek practice reports.

Computed . Risers over the last seven days on FF Beacon, Redraft 1QB PPR, ranked outside the top 108 (a 12-team, 9-starter league's weekly starters), excluding players on the injury timeline. The bid range is the FF Beacon FAAB calculator at its default league shape (12 teams, 9 starters, medium need, 100 budget) as a percent of remaining budget; it is not a league-specific figure and no waiver add-rate data is used. Dynasty columns are Dynasty PPR SF on FF Beacon.

Biggest Dynasty PPR SF value moves of the week

Anthony Richardson rose 1,857, the biggest move of the week, and Omarion Hampton fell 682, the biggest drop of anyone who played.

The biggest rise is Anthony Richardson at +1,857.

Week 5, questions people ask

Questions people ask

Will Lamar Jackson play in week 6?

Not decided yet. He missed the 30 to 23 overtime win in Atlanta with a sprained left ankle, and on October 12 Jesse Minter said he is definitely doing better, with more known by the middle of the week. NFL Network reported some hope he plays against Cleveland. The model projects him for 20.6 points if he does. His Dynasty PPR SF value fell 318 to 8,485.

How bad is Michael Penix's rib injury?

Not considered serious, according to a report on October 12. He was hurt on a sack with 27 seconds left in regulation against Baltimore and did not return. Atlanta wants to see him practice before deciding whether he starts against Chicago on Sunday. The model projects him for 15.3 points.

Who did the Texans trade for?

Marvin Harrison Jr. Houston sent Arizona 2027 second- and sixth-round picks for Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick, and announced the deal after the 26 to 3 win over Tennessee. He has 19.5 PPR points in four games this season; his value rose 205 in Dynasty PPR SF and 300 in Redraft 1QB PPR.

How long is Deebo Samuel out?

At least a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury, Kyle Shanahan said on October 12. San Francisco also lost Ricky Pearsall for the season and De'Zhaun Stribling for at least 10 weeks, and Mike Evans is playing through two fractured ribs.
