Zay Flowers signs $140M extension with Baltimore Ravens

Zay Flowers, WR for the Baltimore Ravens, has agreed to a four-year, $140 million contract extension that includes $108 million guaranteed, per his agency. The deal runs through the 2031 season and pays him $35 million per year in average new money.

That figure ties Flowers with Justin Jefferson as the fourth-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL by annual salary, sitting behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ja'Marr Chase, and Drake London.

What Flowers said about Lamar Jackson

Flowers made clear after signing that he wants Lamar Jackson, QB for the Baltimore Ravens, alongside him for the entire ride. "I'd love for him to be my quarterback to I'm done playing," Flowers said, per ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "No matter whether 12 years, 13. It don't matter how long. I want him to be my quarterback because, to me, he's the best in the world."

Jackson, a two-time NFL MVP, has two years remaining on his current contract. Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley took Flowers out for a celebratory dinner the night before the news broke.

Flowers' production backs up the price tag

Flowers finished seventh in the NFL in receiving yards last season with 1,211 yards on 86 catches and five touchdowns across 17 games. His yards accounted for 36.9% of Baltimore's total receiving yards, the second-highest share of any player in the league behind Smith-Njigba at 44.1%.

No other Ravens receiver topped 25 catches or 400 yards in 2025. That level of target concentration is exactly what you want locked in on a roster.

Flowers was the first wide receiver in Ravens franchise history named to the Pro Bowl, then made it again the following year. He turns 26 in September.

What this means for your roster

In dynasty, Flowers is a buy-and-hold WR1 through the late 2020s. He has the production, the age, and now the contract security to justify a top-10 wide receiver valuation. The open question is Jackson's own deal, but Flowers' extension through 2031 could push those talks forward. If Jackson re-ups, this becomes one of the safer dynasty anchors in the league. Even in redraft, locking in this kind of target share with a two-time MVP throwing the ball makes Flowers a first-round conversation.
