Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby scuffle at Raiders camp

Kirk Cousins, QB for the Las Vegas Raiders, got in Maxx Crosby's face, grabbed his jersey, and the two exchanged words during Friday's training camp practice in Henderson, Nev., according to ESPN and the AP.

Crosby hit Cousins twice during team drills. When Crosby tipped a pass on the second hit, Cousins had seen enough and charged him. Crosby was sent to the sideline after the incident while Cousins stayed on the field to finish the drive.

Coach Klint Kubiak addressed it after practice: "Yeah, that's training camp. Those are two leaders of our team going at it. That is part of camp. Obviously, you fight in a game, you throw a punch in a game, especially, then you're out of the game. So, we've got to be smart, treat it like a game."

Cousins, a 15-year NFL veteran, came to the Raiders this season and was running the first-team offense. Crosby returned to full practice this camp for the first time since December after knee surgery in January.

Earlier in the session, per NBC Sports, Cousins had thrown two interceptions. Sam Warren of The Athletic noted Cousins seemed energized after the scuffle: "Seemed to light a fire under Kirk, who had some picks today."

Tight end Michael Mayer, TE for the Raiders, backed Cousins after practice, per ESPN: "You want him to defend your team. He's always had [that edge] since the first day I met him when he came in here."

A separate scuffle also broke out Friday when defensive lineman Jonah Laulu punched second-year right guard Caleb Rogers earlier in practice, per ESPN.

Does this change anything for your fantasy roster?

No reported injuries on either side, so Cousins and Crosby both appear fine. Cousins is worth watching as he settles into Las Vegas's offense, and Crosby's return from knee surgery is the bigger ongoing storyline heading into the season. Neither player's availability is in question from this incident.
