Ben Steele fired as Commanders TEs coach before camp

The Washington Commanders fired tight ends coach Ben Steele on Monday, two days before the start of training camp, after Virginia court records showed he was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on June 7.
A team source confirmed the firing was due to a violation of team policy. Steele had been hired in late February after three seasons coaching tight ends for the Arizona Cardinals. Head coach Dan Quinn is expected to name a replacement Tuesday.
