Colts sign Pharaoh Brown to fill depth at tight end
The Indianapolis Colts signed free agent tight end Pharaoh Brown and placed tight end Sean McKeon on injured reserve, per Adam Schefter. The move is a straight swap of blocking depth at the position.
Brown, TE, is a 6-foot-5, 260-pound veteran who entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon in 2017. He has bounced through several rosters, including a previous stint with the Colts in 2023. Most recently with the Seattle Seahawks in 2024, he averaged 16.3 offensive snaps across 15 appearances, almost entirely as a blocker.
McKeon, also a blocking tight end with no significant fantasy production, was placed on IR, which points to an injury. He had seven offensive snaps and eight special teams snaps in his most recent action and has not caught a pass in a regular-season game since 2022.
Fantasy impact of the Pharaoh Brown signing
There is none worth acting on. Brown has never been a target-share option at any stop in his career, and that role does not change in Indianapolis. McKeon leaving does not open anything meaningful on the depth chart for fantasy purposes.
The Colts' fantasy-relevant tight end situation is unchanged. Hold or pursue whoever sits above this depth on Indianapolis's chart, not either of these players.
