Dare Ogunbowale signs with Raiders as depth RB

The Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran RB Dare Ogunbowale, adding experienced pass-catching depth to a thin backfield room.
What Ogunbowale brings to Las Vegas
Ogunbowale, 32, is an undrafted back out of Wisconsin who has spent the bulk of his NFL career as a third-down back and core special teamer. His most recent full season came with the Houston Texans, where he played 28% of offensive snaps and 56% of special teams snaps, finishing with 112 rushing yards on 30 carries and 198 receiving yards on 19 catches. In 2025 specifically he had 11 carries for 25 yards and caught 10 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown across 17 games.
He is not a featured back. His career average is 3.4 yards per carry across 591 rushing yards and 109 receptions over nine seasons.
Where he fits on the depth chart
The Raiders are building around 2025 first-round pick Ashton Jeanty, who is expected to handle the bulk of backfield work. The team recently waived Chris Collier with an injury designation, leaving the room thin. Current backs on the roster include Dylan Laube, Mike Washington, and Roman Hemby. Ogunbowale came in after a workout that also included Kenny McIntosh and James Robinson.
Ogunbowale slots in as the experienced pass-catching option behind Jeanty, likely competing with Laube for third-down and obvious passing-down snaps.
Fantasy roster move
Leave Ogunbowale on the waiver wire in redraft. In dynasty or deep formats, he is worth a look only as a Jeanty handcuff, given his pass-catching background. If Jeanty misses time, Ogunbowale would likely see work on passing downs while a more featured back absorbs the rushing load.
