Bijan Robinson extension sets new RB pay record
Bijan Robinson, RB for the Atlanta Falcons, agreed to a three-year extension worth up to $75 million, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The $51 million guaranteed is the most ever given to a running back on a non-rookie deal, and his $22.25 million average annual value beats the previous record of $20.6 million held by Saquon Barkley, RB for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The deal was negotiated by Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports. It ends Robinson's weeklong hold-in at training camp in Flowery Branch, Georgia, meaning he returns to the practice field with no meaningful reps lost heading into the 2026 regular season.
What Robinson did to earn this contract
Last season, Robinson led the NFL with 2,298 yards from scrimmage and earned All-Pro First Team honors. He set career highs in rushing yards (1,478), yards per carry (5.1), catches (79), and receiving yards (820). Since entering the league as the No. 8 overall pick in 2023, he leads all NFL players with 5,648 scrimmage yards, 408 more than Derrick Henry in second place.
He is a Pro Bowler in each of his last two seasons. His 1,738 receiving yards since 2023 are the most by any running back over that span.

Robinson is Atlanta's unquestioned workhorse, locked in as the centerpiece of the Falcons offense through at least 2030. The hold-in is over. The workload is safe. His dual-threat profile, elite touch volume, and guaranteed role make him a top-3 fantasy RB in both PPR and standard formats going into 2026 drafts. If you have him, hold with confidence. If you are targeting him in redraft or dynasty, his price just got higher.
