Free agent WR Zay Jones visited the Jacksonville Jaguars, per Adam Schefter. No contract has been reported. It is a visit only.

Jones spent two seasons in Jacksonville from 2022 to 2023 before the team released him in April 2024 after drafting WR Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round. He then signed with the Arizona Cardinals, where his season ended in Week 10 with a torn Achilles against the Seahawks.

What the Achilles injury means for his value

The torn Achilles is the biggest question here. Depending on when he had surgery, Jones may be close to full recovery or still working back. No health update has been confirmed, and the Jaguars have not commented on his status. Until there is clarity on where he is physically, there is no reliable fantasy floor to project.

Where he would fit on the Jacksonville depth chart

The Jaguars already have WR Christian Kirk on the roster and added WR Dyami Brown in 2025 free agency. Thomas is the clear top option after a strong rookie year. If Jones signs, he slots in as a depth piece competing for a role behind those three. That is a tough path to targets.

What to do on your roster right now

Do not add Jones yet. Monitor this for a signing announcement and any update on his Achilles recovery. If he signs and gets a clean bill of health, he could be a deep-league flier in PPR formats given his familiarity with the system. The roster situation in Jacksonville limits his upside even in the best case.
