Tim Tebow Re-Signs Multi-Year ESPN Extension
ESPN has officially re-signed Tim Tebow to a new multi-year contract extension as a college football analyst, the network announced via its official PR account on July 13, 2026. ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter amplified the news on his own feed.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Tebow's Role at ESPN
Tebow has been a studio analyst for the SEC Network since its launch in August 2014, making him one of the first analysts ever hired for the network. He is a regular presence on SEC Nation, the traveling Saturday pregame show, as well as SportsCenter and First Take.
For the 2026 season, SEC Nation will feature new host Matt Barrie and new desk analyst Chase Daniel, with Tebow returning alongside Paul Finebaum and Roman Harper. The show airs on SEC Network from 7-8 p.m. ET on Saturdays. The 2026 debut is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, live from SEC Kickoff Fan Fest in Tampa.
Background
Tebow won the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and led Florida to two national championships (2006 and 2008 seasons). He posted a 48-7 record across three seasons as a starter for the Gators. His NFL career included stints with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles before he transitioned to broadcasting in December 2013.
