Steelers release Cornell Powell and 10 others

The Pittsburgh Steelers released 11 players, according to Adam Schefter. The full list: TE Jaheim Bell, OL Greg Crippen, DB Jaylon Guilbeau, DB Jack Henderson, DB Brandon Hill, WR Jakobie Keeney-James, DB Tamon Lynum, DB Daryl Porter, WR Cornell Powell, RB Alex Tecza, and WR Isaiah Winstead.

Powell is the most recognizable name on the list for fantasy managers. He is a wide receiver who had been on the fringe of the roster. Tecza, a running back, also clears out of the backfield depth chart.

What this means for your roster

None of these players were fantasy-relevant assets. Their release opens roster spots in Pittsburgh but does not change the team's starting depth chart in any meaningful way for redraft or PPR leagues. Dynasty managers holding any of these names can drop them.
