Rams LT Alaric Jackson Will Not Face Felony Charge
Los Angeles Rams starting left tackle Alaric Jackson will not face a felony charge stemming from his June arrest on a domestic violence charge, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jackson was arrested on June 8 after police responded to a home in West Hills around 10:46 p.m. on a battery domestic violence call. According to reports, Jackson allegedly tried to take a woman's phone after believing she was recording him, and the woman had scratch marks on her arm.
Case Referred for Diversion
Rather than pursuing felony prosecution, the DA's office referred Jackson's case to the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office. A spokesperson for that office, Ivor Pine, said the case has been assigned for a pre-filing diversion program, which is an alternative to misdemeanor criminal prosecution.
Pine noted that "charges are not filed against the respondent at this time, however, the case stays open throughout the length of the statute of limitations. It can be re-evaluated if there are further developments."
NFL Discipline Remains a Risk
The legal outcome does not automatically clear Jackson with the NFL. The league can still act under its personal conduct policy independent of criminal proceedings. Jackson has prior history here -- he served a two-game suspension in August 2024 for a previous violation of that policy.
No new suspension has been announced as of this writing.
Fantasy Takeaway
Jackson signed a three-year, $57 million extension with the Rams in February 2025 and is entering his sixth season protecting Matthew Stafford's blind side. His playing status is not currently in jeopardy based on the legal outcome alone, but a potential NFL suspension is a real risk worth tracking. Fantasy managers in deeper dynasty or best-ball formats who have exposure to Rams pass catchers should keep an eye on any league communication in the weeks ahead.
