The Seattle Seahawks have waived running back Kenny McIntosh, ending his time with the team after two injury-plagued seasons.

What happened to McIntosh

McIntosh, a seventh-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, suffered a torn ACL on July 26, 2025, which cost him all of the Seahawks' Super Bowl LX-winning season. He entered this training camp on the physically unable to perform list still recovering from that injury. The Seahawks cut him before he could return to practice.

His Seattle career totaled 31 carries for 172 yards, all of it in 2024, at 5.5 yards per attempt behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet. The ACL tear was his second serious injury in the pros. He spent most of his rookie year on injured reserve with a sprained knee.

What this means for the Seattle backfield

Walker III (RB, SEA) and Charbonnet (RB, SEA) remain the top two, though Charbonnet is also on the PUP list right now. That leaves first-round rookie Jadarian Price, free-agent addition Emanuel Wilson, George Holani, and Damien Martinez handling available practice reps.

Holani and Martinez are the current favorites for the RB3 job behind Walker and Charbonnet.

Roster moves to make now

Drop McIntosh in any format if you are still holding him. If you want Seattle handcuff exposure, Price is the name with the most upside given his draft pedigree, but Holani and Martinez are the ones competing for immediate depth snaps. None of them are must-adds yet, but Price is worth a stash in dynasty leagues.
