Jets Unveil New Legacy Collection Uniforms for 2025 Season
Jets Go Back to Their Roots with Legacy Collection Uniforms
The New York Jets revealed their new "Legacy Collection" uniforms on April 15, 2024, ahead of the 2025 NFL season. Adam Schefter shared the look on social media, giving fans their first official look at the full white uniform and helmet combo.
What the New Look Includes
The Legacy Collection features three uniform versions: Legacy Green, Legacy White, and Legacy Black. The design pulls directly from the Sack Exchange era (1979-89), with double-striped shoulders and single-stripe pants. The helmet gets a modernized version of the "JETS" wordmark used from 1978 to 1997, with either a white or green face mask depending on the uniform combination.
The white version is not entirely new to Jets fans. New York wore the Legacy White throwback jersey twice during the 2023 season, including in the Week 1 opener against the Bills -- the same game Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles on the fourth snap of his Jets career. Almost immediately after Super Bowl LVIII, the team announced the throwback look would become the permanent uniform going forward.
What the Jets Are Saying
Jets Chairman Woody Johnson framed the rebrand as a response to fan demand. "We work for the fans," Johnson said. "They have consistently asked for us to return to our roots and we heard them. The new uniforms are explicitly designed to look and feel like the New York Jets while refreshing the club's iconic logo."
Fantasy Football Takeaway
This is a branding story, not a roster move, so there is no direct fantasy impact. That said, the rebrand is a signal of franchise optimism heading into the season. Rodgers is back from his Achilles tear, and the Jets are generating real buzz. If you are deciding between Jets skill position players on the waiver wire or in drafts, the organizational energy around this team is worth noting as context.
