Terrion Arnold plans to sign with the Seahawks

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports former Detroit Lions CB Terrion Arnold plans to sign with the Seattle Seahawks, though no official signing has been announced as of the latest reporting. Research notes indicate Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald confirmed the team's interest after meeting with Arnold, and GM John Schneider discussed a recent workout, but no contract is in place yet.

Arnold also visited the Houston Texans and has a New Orleans Saints visit planned. The New York Giants are among other teams that expressed interest.

The bigger question for any team signing Arnold, and for fantasy managers, is what the NFL does next. Arnold faces eight felony charges: four counts of robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon and four counts of kidnapping. The league must decide whether to place him on the Commissioner's Exempt List, which would make him ineligible to play while the legal matter is unresolved.

If Arnold lands on that list, he has no fantasy value regardless of which team signs him. If the NFL allows him to play, he enters a cornerback market where teams are clearly competing for his services.

What to do on your roster

Do not roster Arnold in any format until the NFL rules on his status. The felony charges and the Commissioner's Exempt List possibility create too much uncertainty to hold a roster spot on him now.
