Ray-Ray McCloud III reportedly signs with Bears
Adam Schefter reports the Chicago Bears signed wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III. The move has not been confirmed by available transaction records, which last show McCloud being released from the New York Giants' practice squad.
What the transaction record shows
McCloud's recent history per Pro-Football-Reference runs through the Bills, Panthers, Steelers, 49ers, Falcons, and Giants. The Falcons released him in October 2025, after which he landed on the Giants' practice squad. Rotowire reported he was cut from that practice squad in December 2025, making him a free agent before this reported Bears signing.
Fantasy outlook
If the Bears signing is confirmed, McCloud is a waiver wire non-factor in redraft leagues. He is a depth receiver and special teams contributor. He only becomes relevant if injuries create significant opportunity in the Bears' receiver room, which is not the current situation. Dynasty managers can file this away but do not need to act.
