Malik Nabers, WR for the New York Giants, is back in live team drills after shedding the red no-contact jersey Monday, the clearest sign yet that he is on track for Week 1.

What Nabers did in practice

Nabers took part in full-speed live drills for the first time since tearing the ACL and meniscus in his right knee in Week 4 of last season. He logged three reps in a 7-on-7 period, catching a pass over the middle while missing a high crosser. He then took three more snaps in 11-on-11, hauling in an acrobatic diving catch on a low curl, an out route, and a quick out. Multiple quarterbacks were involved in the session.

Coach John Harbaugh said after practice: "I thought he looked good. Look at the tape later, but he was moving well. Probably moving the best we've seen him look."

On Week 1 readiness, Harbaugh added: "I just don't want to make any kinds of statements like that. I think it's reasonable to assume that."

What the injury history looks like

Nabers tore the ACL and meniscus in his right knee during a Week 4 win over the Los Angeles Chargers last season. He had surgery in October for both the ACL and a full meniscus repair, then needed a second procedure earlier this year to remove scar tissue and relieve stiffness, per ESPN.

Fantasy roster takeaway

Nabers is targeting the Giants' Week 1 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, Sept. 13. If he clears that, he re-enters your lineup conversation immediately. Monitor injury reports this week closely. He is worth rostering now in any format if he is available on your waiver wire.
