The deal includes $14.5 million guaranteed and a $4.2 million signing bonus. Henry had one year remaining on his previous contract, and this extension removes any near-term uncertainty about his situation.

Rapoport and Schefter describe Henry as "a key weapon for Drake Maye" and say the extension makes it likely he finishes his career with the Patriots.

Henry recorded 768 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns in 2025, per Yahoo Sports. That kind of production from the tight end spot matters when you are evaluating how involved he actually is in the offense.

What does this mean for fantasy rosters?

Nothing changes today in terms of Henry's role, but the extension removes a legitimate offseason concern. A pending free agent TE in his early 30s is a real roster question heading into a season. That question is now gone.

Henry is staying in New England and staying attached to Maye's offense. If you are in a dynasty or keeper league, he just got more stable as a long-term hold. In redraft, his target share as the team's starting tight end is not going anywhere either.
