Chase Daniel Signs Multi-Year ESPN Extension, Takes On SEC Nation and NFL Studio Roles
Chase Daniel Locks In Multi-Year ESPN Extension
Chase Daniel is not going anywhere. The former 14-year NFL backup quarterback announced a multi-year extension with ESPN, confirming he will take on an expanded role across both college football and NFL coverage in 2026.
Adam Schefter amplified the announcement on X.
What Daniel Will Be Doing
Daniel is set to wear three hats this season:
- SEC Nation analyst on the SEC Network, replacing Jordan Rodgers in that role
- Thursday night primetime college football analyst, working alongside play-by-play voice Matt Barrie
- NFL studio analyst, continuing to appear on shows like NFL Live
Daniel first joined ESPN in 2025, calling college football games with Clay Matvick while also contributing as an NFL analyst. Before ESPN, he co-hosted "The Facility" on FS1 with Emmanuel Acho, James Jones, and LeSean McCoy before that show was canceled.
