Alfred Collins patellar tendon tear ends his 49ers season

San Francisco 49ers DT Alfred Collins tore his patellar tendon at practice and will not play this season, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed. The injury is a patellar tendon tear, one of the more severe lower-body injuries a player can suffer.
