Adrian Peterson's Ring of Honor induction is set for Week 9 MNF

Adrian Peterson, the retired running back who spent 10 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, will be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor on November 9, 2026. The Vikings announced the news on May 7 by surprising Peterson at rookie minicamp, with Hall of Famer John Randle delivering the news in person.

Peterson becomes the 29th member of the Ring of Honor and just the third running back inducted, joining Bill Brown and Chuck Foreman.

The game context for fantasy managers

The ceremony is tied to a Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills, kickoff at 7:15 p.m. CT on ESPN/ABC. It is the first Vikings-Bills meeting on Monday Night Football in series history, and it lands in Week 9 of the 2026 season.
