49ers DT Gracen Halton Signs Four-Year Rookie Deal
San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Gracen Halton has signed his four-year rookie contract worth $5.62 million, according to Adam Schefter. Halton was the final member of the 49ers' 2026 draft class to put pen to paper, with the rest of the class already signed before him.
Contract Details
- Length: 4 years
- Total value: $5,642,636
- Signing bonus: Approximately $1,262,636
- 2026 cap hit: Approximately $1,200,659
Draft Background
Halton was selected with the No. 107 overall pick, the 7th selection in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. San Francisco acquired the pick from the Cleveland Browns as part of a trade down from No. 58 overall.
Halton played four seasons at the University of Oklahoma, appearing in 47 games and racking up 84 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks. In his 2025 senior season he served as a team captain, earned Second-Team All-SEC honors, and posted 33 tackles, 7.0 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, and a forced fumble returned for a touchdown.
Fantasy Outlook
Halton projects as a rotational 3-technique with strong quickness and pass-rush upside inside. His direct fantasy impact is minimal to start. Standard and PPR managers have no use for him, and even in IDP leagues he is a depth piece early on. That said, his pass-rush profile fits San Francisco's defensive scheme well, and analysts have flagged him as a sleeper with long-term IDP value if he carves out a bigger role. Keep him on your watch list in deeper IDP formats.
